Inorganic compound. Accumulates in bone tissue. Not metabolised. Two references consider it (probably) safe.

Selectively localized to resorbtion localities in the skeleton where it inhibits osteoclastic activity. Stored in bone tissue. South African list: use with care. French list: authorized. Uneventful use reported in 16 patients with acute porphyria.
